Guinness Records Set in Ms. Pac-Man, Tapper
Watch exclusive GiantRealm footage of the classic gaming event.
Two video game world records were set in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this weekend. The event, held at the classic gaming pub Barcade, doubled as a promotion for the book Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition. Judges were onhand to witness the setting of five new records, but the talent in attendance were only able to nail two of the goals. Daniel Dujinc achieved the "Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards" on Ms. Pac-Man with 2'05"80 on the clock. The Guinness World Record for "Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards on Tapper" went to Michael Pryzbocki, who shut down his bar in 1'20"43. By the end of the evening, high scores in Ghosts 'n Goblins, Out Run and Donkey Kong (sans hammer) remained untouched.
GiantRealm's intrepid reporter Yue Xu was onhand to help capture the flavor of the event. See her and the record setters in action below:

An exciting event, and even more exciting to see my brother Dan take home the Ms. Pac-Man record. Check out an in-depth feature article on the event here. Lots of pictures and more:
