Video: MTV Games Hosts Wii Rock Band Launch
Wii launch of Rock Band at the Manhattan Nintendo Store.
As most of you know, Rock Band recently came out for the Wii. To celebrate, I attended the launch party at the Nintendo store in Rockefeller Center. After all, there was going to live performances from die hard Rock Band fans, including the band that goes by the name "Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku," or "Hurricane Kick," based on the move in Street Fighter. An opportunity to see prepubescent teens rock out and make fools of themselves in public? I'm so there! To my surprise, the turnout was mediocre, and after chatting with many of the party goers, it seems that there's a lag on the guitar. Hopefully that'll be something that Nintendo can fix soon, but in the meantime, they should try to figure out how to combine Rock Band and Wii Fit into one. That way you can rock out and burn some calories at the same time. I'm a genius, I know.
